Brawl (Unreleased)

Studio: Blue Tongue Entertainment (THQ)
Platform: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 (Unreleased)
Role: Animator & Rigger
Tools: Maya, custom animation tools, proprietary engine

Brawl was an ambitious, next-gen 3D arena brawler developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Building on the technical foundation and gameplay lessons from Marvel Super Hero Squad, this game reimagined the WWE roster in an alternate universe where each wrestling icon was redesigned with exaggerated visual styles and outrageous backstories.

The game was designed for up to four players, emphasising mayhem-filled multiplayer combat with destructible arenas, interactive environments, and over-the-top melee weapons and throwable props. Characters could perform tag-team takedowns, grapples, and signature finishers tailored to their unique personalities and body types.

As an animator and rigger, I was responsible for developing animation rigs and combat animation sets across a variety of stylised character proportions. This involved syncing complex multiplayer interactions and cinematic finishers while optimising for real-time performance.

🎮 Features (Planned):

Stylised reimaginings of WWE superstars in a new fictional universe

Four-player local and online brawling

Fully destructible and interactive environments

Unique weapons, props, and wrestler-specific takedowns

Physics-driven objects used as melee or projectile weapons
