Oddbods: Oddlife is a mobile AR game designed for young children, teaching daily routines through fun mini-games and interactive videos.
Players engage in activities like brushing teeth, getting dressed, and bedtime rituals—guided by the lovable Oddbods characters. The app uses face-tracking technology to transform the player into different Oddbods, enhancing immersion and entertainment.
My primary contribution to this project was focused on texturing, working closely with the supplied 3D assets from One Animation.
A key creative challenge was recreating the furry, tactile look of the TV show’s signature characters using standard mobile rendering tools. Achieving a soft, believable fur effect without GPU-heavy shaders required innovative texture work and material tweaking—balancing visual fidelity with performance on mobile devices.
