El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera is a side-scrolling platformer based on the popular Nickelodeon animated TV series of the same name. Developed by Blue Tongue, the game follows young hero Manny as he navigates his double life as both superhero El Tigre and mischievous teenager.

 

The game was designed as a lighthearted, action-filled platformer for the PlayStation 2, featuring vibrant 3D animation across four levels and two bonus stages. The goal was to collect “Macho Points” by defeating enemies and completing objectives, reflecting the show’s energetic, stylised aesthetic.

 

While development was impacted by the show’s unexpected cancellation, our team still managed to complete the game, delivering a polished final product that remains a fun and faithful tribute to the series—even with reduced content from the original scope.

 

My Contributions:

  • Character animation for Manny and supporting characters
  • Rigging of multiple characters and enemies to support fluid platforming movement and visual flair
  • Worked closely with art and design teams to maintain visual fidelity to the Nickelodeon source material
  • Contributed to maintaining animation quality under shifting production goals and cancellation constraints
